HiSilicon Kirin 970
El HiSilicon Kirin 970 es un SoC octa-core de gama alta basado en ARM para smartphones y tablets, que se introdujo con el Huawei Mate 10 a fines de 2017. Además de 8 núcleos de CPU (4 Cortex-A73, 4 Cortex-A53), el SoC también está equipado con un moderno adaptador gráfico Mali-G72 MP12, un controlador de memoria LPDDR4 de dos canales y un modem LTE (4x4 MIMO, 5 bandas, QAM-256, hasta 1,2 Gbit/s).
El clúster de rendimiento tiene una velocidad de hasta 2,4 GHz y los cuatro núcleos de ahorro de energía A53 con hasta 1,8 GHz. El rendimiento debería mejorar en un 20 por ciento según Huawei y el consumo de energía se reduce en un 20 por ciento.
En el chip HiSilicon también incluía una Unidad de Procesamiento Neural (NPU) dedicada para ejecutar tareas de aprendizaje automático de manera muy eficiente en comparación con los núcleos de la CPU.
