 Kirin 655

El HiSilicon Kirin 655 es un SoC octa-core de gama alta basado en ARM para smartphones y tablets de gama media. Fue anunciado a finales de 2016 y tiene ocho núcleos ARM Cortex-A53. Cuatro núcleos pueden llegar a una velocidad de hasta 1,7 GHz (núcleos ahorradores de energía) y cuatro hasta 2,1 GHz (núcleos de rendimiento). La diferencia con el antiguo Kirin 650 es la velocidad 100 MHz superior de los núcleos de rendimiento.

Además, una tarjeta de vídeo ARM Mali-T830 MP2 (a 600 MHz con 40.8 GFLOPS), un controlador de memoria LPDDR3 de 64-Bit y una radio LTE Cat con soporte para dual-sim. 6 (máx. 300 MBit/s y GSM, WCDMA, UMTS, HSPA+) están integrados en el SoC. El rendimiento del procesador puede ser comparado con el antiguo Kirin 930 y por tanto suficiente para el uso diario como navegar y aplicaciones exigentes. SoCs de gama superior con núcleos Cortex-A57 o A72, sin embargo deben ser notablemente más veloces. El SoC es producido en un moderno proceso de 16nm FinFET y es, por tanto  muy energéticamente eficiente.
