HiSilicon Kirin 820

El HiSilicon Kirin 820 es un Octa-Core-SoC de gama media basado en ARM para teléfonos inteligentes y tabletas basados en Android. Se anunció a mediados de 2020 y contiene 8 núcleos de procesador. Un núcleo rápido ARM Cortex-A76 con hasta 2,36 GHz, tres núcleos adicionales de A76 hasta 2,22 (como el antiguo Kirin 810) y cuatro núcleos de eficiencia Cortex-A55 hasta 1,88 GHz. Además, el SoC integra un módem de 5G y una tarjeta gráfica rápida de rango medio ARM Mali-G57 MP6. Para la aceleración de la IA, el Kirin 820 integra una NPU DaVinci.

El rendimiento de la parte de la CPU en nuestras pruebas fue ligeramente superior al del antiguo Kirin 810 (gracias al núcleo de rendimiento rápido). Huawei anuncia una ventaja de rendimiento del 27% para la CPU. La NPU y la GPU tienen mayores ganancias de rendimiento con un 73% y un 38% más de potencia.

El chip también debe integrar Bluetooth 5 y WiFi 6.

El SoC se fabrica en el moderno proceso de 7nm en TSMC y por lo tanto debe ser muy eficiente en cuanto a energía.
