Qualcomm SD 888+ 5G

El Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ (Plus) 5G Mobile Platform es un SoC de gama alta para smartphones que se presentó a mediados de 2021 y se fabricó en 5 nm en Samsung. 

Integra un "Prime Core" basado en una arquitectura ARM Cortex-X1 con una frecuencia de hasta 3 GHz. Otros tres núcleos de rendimiento se basan en el A78, pero con una frecuencia de hasta 2,42 GHz. Además, se han integrado cuatro núcleos de ahorro de energía basados en la arquitectura ARM Cortex-A55 y con una frecuencia de hasta 1,8 GHz. Además de los núcleos del procesador, el SoC integra un módem WiFi 6e, un DSP Hexagon 780 (hasta 26 TOPS de rendimiento de IA) y un ISP Spectra 580. El controlador de memoria integrado admite ahora una memoria LPDDR5 más rápida de hasta 3.200 MHz. El 5G se incluye ahora en el chip con el módem Snapdragon X60.

En comparación con el antiguo Snapdragon 888, el 888+ ofrece un núcleo principal de reloj ligeramente superior (+160 MHz) y un DSP Hexagon 790 un 23% más rápido. Por lo tanto, ahora es el SoC Android más rápido (en el momento del anuncio), pero sigue siendo ligeramente más lento (CPU y GPU) que los SoCs Apple A14 y A15 Bionic.
