Qualcomm SD 778G 5G

El Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G (SDM778G 5G Mobile Platform) es un rápido SoC de gama media basado en ARM que se encuentra principalmente en tabletas y smartphones Android. Integra ocho núcleos (octa-core) divididos en dos clusters. Un clúster de rendimiento rápido con cuatro núcleos basados en la arquitectura ARM Cortex-A78 con hasta 2,4 GHz y un clúster de eficiencia energética con cuatro pequeños núcleos ARM Cortex-A55 con hasta 1,8 GHz. Dependiendo de la carga de trabajo, los clústeres individuales o todos los núcleos pueden funcionar a diferentes velocidades de reloj.

Gracias a los nuevos núcleos Cortex-A78, el rendimiento de la CPU aumenta hasta un 40% en comparación con el antiguo Snapdragon 768G, según Qualcomm. En nuestros benchmarks, el 778G es capaz de alcanzar el rendimiento del antiguo chip de gama alta Kirin 990. 

El módem 5G X53 integrado soporta hasta 3,3 Gbps con sub 6Ghz. El módem Wi-Fi FastConnect 6900 soporta el actual estándar Wi-Fi 6e con 6GHz.

La Qualcomm Adreno 642L integrada ofrece un rendimiento un 40% mayor en comparación con la antigua Adreno 620 del predecesor. Esto es en parte gracias al rápido controlador de memoria con soporte LPDDR5-3200.

El motor de IA de sexta generación integrado, llamado Hexagon 770, ofrece una mejora del doble y hasta 12 TOPS de rendimiento. El ISP (procesador de señal de imagen) Spectra 570 admite hasta tres cámaras. El sistema de satélites es compatible con los principales estándares como Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS y GPS.

El G especifica un SoC optimizado para juegos y, por ejemplo, Qualcomm ofrece actualizaciones para el controlador de gráficos.

El Snapdragon 778G se fabrica en el moderno proceso de 6 nm de TSMC (frente al 5LPE del 780G).
