HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G
El HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G es un SoC de octava gama basado en ARM para teléfonos inteligentes y tabletas, que se introdujo con el Huawei Mate 30 Pro a finales de 2019. Integra ocho núcleos de CPU en tres grupos. El clúster de rendimiento contiene dos núcleos Cortex-A76 con hasta 2,86 GHz, el clúster equilibrado contiene también dos núcleos Cortex-A76 pero con sólo hasta 2,36 GHz y, por último, el clúster de ahorro de energía contiene cuatro pequeños núcleos Cortex-A55 ARM con hasta 1,95 GHz. Además, el SoC integra un procesador neural (2 + 1 núcleos) para tareas de IA y una GPU ARM Mali-G76 MP16 acoplada hasta 700 MHz. En comparación con la versión 4G, el Kirin 990 5G integra un módem Balong 5G y tiene un reloj ligeramente más alto (2 de los 3 clusters y la GPU).
El Kirin 990 5G se produce en el moderno proceso de 7nm (7FF+ con EUV) en TSMC, la versión 4G se sigue produciendo en el ligeramente más antiguo proceso de 7nm como el Kirin 980.
