Qualcomm Adreno 650
La Qualcomm Adreno 650 es una GPU para smartphone y tablet que está integrada no SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. El chip estará disponible desde principios del 2020 e será utilizado principalmente en dispositivos Android de gama alta.
Según Qualcomm, la GPU Adreno 650 ofrece un rendimiento mejorado en 25% sobre la Adreno 640, su predecesora, que está integrada en el SoC Snapdragon 855. El rendimiento mejorado se logra con la Adreno 650 que tiene un 50% más de unidades de cómputo (ALU) que la Adreno 640. Además, la velocidad de los pixel shaders también aumentó en un 50%.
El rendimiento en nuestros primeros benchmarks de un sistema de referencia se posiciona por encima del ARM Mali-G76 MP16 y, por ejemplo, en 3DMark Sling Shot Extreme incluso en el primer puesto. En GFXBench, solo la GPU Apple A13 puede superar a la Adreno 650 (con respecto a las GPU de smartphone).
Como novedad, el controlador de GPU se puede actualizar en la Android Play Store. Además, algunas características se ejecutan bajo la marca Elite Gaming (por ejemplo, soporte de pantalla de 144 Hz, desktop forward rendering).
La Adreno 650 soporta Vulkan 1.1, DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, y OpenCL 2.0 FP. Además, los juegos y vídeos pueden usar HDR10+ y Dolby Vision (con una pantalla compatible).
