AMD Vega 2

La AMD Radeon RX Vega 2 es una GPU integrada para portátiles. Se utiliza para las APU Athlon Silver 3050U de nivel básico, que se lanzaron a principios de 2020. La GPU se basa en la arquitectura Vega (GCN de 5ª generación) y tiene 2 CUs (= 128 de los 704 shaders) a 1100 MHz. El rendimiento depende del TDP configurado (12-25 W en el lanzamiento), los relojes, la refrigeración y la configuración de la memoria). La GPU debería beneficiarse de una memoria RAM rápida de doble canal DDR4-2400 (frente a la DDR4-2133 de un solo canal, que también es posible).

La arquitectura Vega ofrece algunas mejoras con respecto a la generación Polaris y ahora es compatible con DirectX 12 Feature Level 12_1. Puedes encontrar más información en nuestro artículo dedicado a la arquitectura Raven Ridge.

El rendimiento debería ser claramente inferior al de la Radeon RX Vega 3 con 3 CUs y, por tanto, en la región de rendimiento inferior de las GPUs modernas. Esto significa que los juegos más exigentes de hoy en día pueden no ser jugables con fluidez.

Gracias al proceso de 12nm y a las funciones inteligentes de ahorro de energía, el consumo de energía es relativamente bajo (según AMD), por lo que la tarjeta gráfica también puede usarse en portátiles finos y ligeros.
