Intel 6Y30

El Intel Core m3-6Y30 es un SoC dual-core muy energéticamente eficiente basado en la arquitectura Skylake y fue lanzado en septiembre 2015. Gracias a su TDP extremamente bajo, la CPU puede ser encontrada en tablets y portátiles 2-en-1 enfriadas de forma pasiva. Además de los dos núcleos de CPU con Hyper-Threading con velocidad de 0,9 - 2,2 GHz (2 núcleos: máx. 2,0 GHz), el chip también integra una GPU Graphics 515 y un controlador de memoria dual-channel LPDDR3-1866/DDR3L-1600. El chip es producido utilizando un proceso de 14 nm con transistores FinFET.

Arquitectura

Skylake remplaza tanto a Haswell como a Broadwell y trae la misma micro arquitectura en todas las clases de TDP desde 4,5 a 45 W. Las amplias mejorías del diseño Skylake incluye más buffers "out-of-order", prefetching y predicción de árbol optimizados, así como más rendimiento adicional mediante Hyper-Threading. En general, no obstante, el rendimiento fue incrementado en solo 5 a 10 por ciento (en comparación con Haswell) respectivamente bajo 5 por ciento (en comparación con Broadwell), lo cual es bastante modesto para una arquitectura nueva ("Tock").

Rendimiento

El rendimiento real del Core m3-6Y30 depende mucho de las capacidades de enfriamiento y la configuración de TDP del dispositivo relacionado. Mientras la CPU será similar a un Core i3-5010U (Broadwell, 15 W) en benchmarks cortos, su rendimiento puede disminuir bajo carga de trabajo continua. EN general, la CPU tiene suficiente poder para las tareas de escritorio y multimedia habituales.

Gráficos

La unidad gráfica integrada, llamada HD Graphics 515 representa la versión "GT2" de la GPU Skylake (Intel Gen. 9). Las 24 Unidades de Ejecución, también llamadas EUs, tienen una velocidad de 300 - 850 MHz (limitado por el headroom de TDP disponible) y ofrecen un rendimiento que se posiciona en algún lugar en el rango de la antigua HD Graphics 4400 (Haswell, 15 W). Consumo de Energía

Especificada con un TDP de 4,5 W (incluyendo CPU, GPU y controlador de memoria), la CPU es adecuada para portátiles y tablets enfriados de forma pasiva. De forma opcional, el TDP puede ser reducido a 3,8 watts (cTDP down) o incrementado hasta 7 watts (cTDP up), afectando la disipación de calor y el rendimiento.
