Intel i7-10870H

El Intel Core i7-10870H es un procesador de alta gama para portátiles de ocho núcleos basado en la arquitectura Comet Lake (CML-H, 4ª generación de Skylake). El procesador funciona entre 2,2 y 5 GHz (4,2 con los 8 núcleos, 4,8 GHz sin aumento de la velocidad térmica) y puede ejecutar hasta dieciséis hilos simultáneamente gracias al Hyper-Threading. El procesador se sigue fabricando en el antiguo proceso de 14nm (14nm++). En comparación con los predecesores, las CPU de la serie Comet Lake-H sólo ofrecen una mayor velocidad de reloj. Comparado con el más rápido Core i7-10875H, el 10870H ofrece núcleos de CPU de 100 MHz de reloj más lento.

La arquitectura del Comet Lake es similar a la del Coffee Lake y ofrece las mismas características y se produce en el mismo proceso de 14nm. Además de las mejoras en la velocidad de reloj, el controlador de memoria ahora también soporta una RAM DDR4-2933 más rápida. El Core i7-10875H soporta las características de administración vPro, TXT y SIPP. 

Rendimiento

El rendimiento del Core i7-10870H debería estar en algún lugar alrededor del antiguo Core i9-9880H. Gracias a los 8 núcleos y a las altas velocidades Turbo, incluso las aplicaciones más exigentes deberían funcionar muy bien en la CPU. Sin embargo, el rendimiento a largo plazo siempre depende del sistema de refrigeración del portátil y de la configuración del sistema.

Gráficos

El iGPU integrado de Intel UHD Graphics 630 se supone que ofrece un rendimiento similar al del UHD630 en el Core i7-9880H. Como una solución de gama baja, sólo correrá los juegos actuales sin problemas y con detalles reducidos, si es que los tiene.

Consumo de energía

Intel especifica el TDP con 45 vatios y por lo tanto el i9 sólo es adecuado para grandes portátiles con buenas soluciones de refrigeración. Usando el cTDP-down, la CPU también puede ser configurada a 35 vatios resultando en un rendimiento reducido.
