AMD R7 PRO 5850U

El AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U es un procesador para portátiles delgados y ligeros basado en la generación Cezanne. El R7 5850U integra los ocho núcleos basados en la microarquitectura Zen 3 y es el procesador más rápido de la serie U en su lanzamiento. Su velocidad oscila entre 1,9 (reloj base garantizado) y 4,4 GHz (Turbo) y admite SMT / Hyperthreading (16 hilos). El chip se fabrica en el moderno proceso de 7 nm de TSMC.

Las CPUs PRO ofrecen características adicionales de gestión y seguridad. Por lo demás, el 5850U es idéntico al Ryzen 7 5800U.

La nueva microarquitectura Zen 3 ofrece un IPC (instrucciones por reloj) significativamente mayor que Zen 2. En el caso de los procesadores de sobremesa, AMD afirma un 19% de media, y en las revisiones de las aplicaciones ha mostrado un aumento de alrededor del 12% a la misma velocidad de reloj.

Con el aumento de la velocidad de reloj y las mejoras del IPC gracias a Zen 3, el Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U debería ser claramente más rápido que el Ryzen 7 4800U, con una velocidad de reloj 200 MHz inferior.

Además de los ocho núcleos de la CPU, la APU también integra una tarjeta gráfica integrada Radeon RX Vega 8 con 8 CUs y hasta 2000 MHz (o 1900 MHz según la filtración de Geekbench). El controlador de memoria de doble canal admite DDR4-3200 y memoria RAM LPDDR4-4266 de bajo consumo. Además, el chip cuenta con 16 MB de caché de nivel 3 (frente a los 8 MB de la 4800U).

El TDP de la APU está especificado en 15 vatios (por defecto) y puede ser configurado de 10 a 25 vatios por el vendedor del portátil (la mayoría de los chips están configurados por encima de 15 vatios). Esto significa que el chip está pensado para portátiles finos y ligeros (pero con ventiladores).
