NVIDIA GeForce GT 625M

La AMD Radeon HD 8550G es una tarjeta de video integrada en las APUs AMD Richland (A8-5550M). Ofrece sólo 256 núcleos shader VLIW4 (8650G: 384). La 8550G no tiene memoria gráfica dedicada, pero comparte la memoria principal con los núcleos de la CPU.

El decodificador de video integrado UVD3 permite la decodificación completa de Codec Multi-View (MVC), MPEG-4 Part 2 (DivX, XviD), MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 y videos HD Adobe Flash.

De acuerdo con las frecuencias de 515 - 720 MHz (Turbo), el rendimiento debe estar sólo un pequeño porcentaje por encima de una Radeon HD 7640G. Así, la Radeon HD 8550G se desempeña de manera similar a una Radeon HD 7570M dedicada. No obstante, sin la veloz memoria de dos canales el rendimiento cae drásticamente.

Los shaders del chip también pueden ser utilizados para la computación general.

La APU es producida en 32nm y avaluada con un TDP de 35 watts. Esto permite que el chip sea utilizado en portátiles de 13 a 14 pulgadas o más grandes.
