Intel i7-8850H

El Intel Core i7-8850H es un procesador de gama alta para portátiles con seis núcleos basado en la arquitectura de Coffee Lake y se anunciará a principios de 2018. El procesador ofrece velocidades entre 2,6 y 4,3 GHz (4,1 GHz con 4 núcleos, 4 GHz con 6 núcleos) y puede ejecutar hasta doce threads simultáneamente, gracias al Hyper-Threading. Según Intel, la CPU se fabrica en un proceso mejorado de 14nm (14nm++).

La arquitectura de Coffee Lake es similar a la de Kaby Lake y solo difiere en la cantidad de núcleos (ahora seis núcleos para las versiones de gama alta) y en el proceso mejorado de 14nm (14nm++ según Intel).

Rendimiento

Debido a los dos núcleos adicionales, el rendimiento se ha incrementado en casi un 50% en comparación con un procesador Kaby Lake con velocidad similar, como el Core i7-7920HQ (3,1 - 4,1 GHz). El rendimiento de un solo núcleo no ha mejorado desde su predecesor Kaby Lake. Como modelo de gama alta, el i7-8850H es adecuado para las aplicaciones y juegos más exigentes.

Gráficos

Se supone que el iGPU Intel UHD Graphics 630 integrado ofrece un rendimiento ligeramente superior ya que su velocidad se ha incrementado en 50 MHz (según rumores). La arquitectura es idéntica a la del Intel HD Graphics 630. Esperamos una mejora en el rendimiento, pero como una solución de gama baja, probablemente solo muestre los juegos actuales sin problemas con detalles reducidos, si es que lo hace.

Consumo de Energía

Intel especifica el TDP con 45 Watts y, por lo tanto, el i7 solo es adecuado para portátiles grandes con buenas soluciones de refrigeración. Usando cTDP-down, la CPU también se puede configurar a 35 Watts, lo que da como resultado un rendimiento reducido.
