Intel i7-9700K

El Intel Core i7-9700K es un procesador de alta gama para ordenadores de sobremesa basado en la arquitectura Coffee Lake. Ofrece un multiplicador abierto para facilitar el overclocking e integra 8 núcleos (sin Hyperthreading, por lo tanto también 8 hilos) sincronizados a 3,6 - 4,9 GHz y necesita una nueva placa base basada en Z390.

Gracias a los dos núcleos adicionales, el rendimiento en aplicaciones multihilo es incluso mejor que el antiguo Core i8-8700K con 6 núcleos y Hyperthreading. Como CPU de escritorio de alta gama, el i9-9700K es adecuado incluso para aplicaciones muy exigentes y perfecto para juegos 3D.

La tarjeta gráfica integrada Intel UHD Graphics 630 está sincronizada hasta 1,2 GHz y no ofrece ninguna ventaja en comparación con las generaciones anteriores. Como es una GPU de gama muy baja, sólo se puede jugar con ella a algunos juegos poco exigentes como Hearthstone (véase la página de la GPU para conocer los benchmarks).

Intel especifica el TDP a 95 vatios, por lo que si la CPU se utiliza en portátiles se necesita un sistema de refrigeración grande y grueso para evitar la aceleración y la disminución de la velocidad del reloj bajo cargas sostenidas. Cuando se hace overclocking en la CPU, el consumo de energía puede aumentar fácilmente hasta 200 vatios y más.
