AMD R9 5900X

El AMD Ryzen 9 5900X es un procesador de escritorio de alta gama de 12 núcleos e hiperhilo (SMT) de la serie Vermeer que puede procesar 24 hilos simultáneamente. Presentado el 8 de octubre de 2020, el Ryzen 9 5900X es el procesador de 12 núcleos más rápido y está especificado a 105 vatios TDP. El modelo superior, el AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, ofrece aún más potencia y al mismo tiempo ofrece otros 4 núcleos y 8 hilos. 

El Ryzen 9 5900X reloj con reloj base de 3,7 GHz y alcanza hasta 4,8 GHz en un núcleo en modo turbo. Sin embargo, cuando los 12 núcleos están cargados, hasta 4,5 GHz sigue siendo posible.

El rendimiento del AMD Ryzen 9 5900X es consistentemente excelente en todas las aplicaciones y significativamente mejor que el del AMD Ryzen 9 3900X. AMD ha sido capaz de mejorar significativamente su rendimiento de single thread en particular e incluso supera al Intel Core i9-10900K en esta disciplina. El rendimiento de los multi-hilos también pudo ser mejorado. En un duelo interno, el AMD Ryzen 9 5900X puede incluso enfrentarse a un AMD Threadripper 2950X.

La estructura interna del procesador no ha cambiado fundamentalmente a primera vista. La estructura del CCX ha cambiado un poco en comparación con el Zen2, porque ahora un CCX consta de hasta 8 núcleos de CPU. Así que cada núcleo individual puede acceder al caché completo de L3 (32 MByte). Además, los módulos CCX están conectados entre sí a través de la misma matriz de E/S, que ya conocemos de Zen2. Según AMD, el Infinity-Fabric debería alcanzar ahora velocidades de reloj de hasta 2 GHz, lo que a su vez permite un reloj RAM de 4.000 MHz sin pérdida de rendimiento.

Para los procesos de fabricación, AMD también confía en TSCM para los procesadores de Vermeer para la producción de 7nm de los núcleos de la CPU, aunque la matriz de E/S todavía es suministrada en 12nm por Globalfoundries. 

En los juegos, el AMD Ryzen 9 5900X es convincente gracias a la mejora significativa del IPC. Con el AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, el streaming puede hacerse simultáneamente con los juegos. Pero si sólo quieres jugar, te aconsejamos que eches un vistazo al AMD Ryzen 7 5800X o al AMD Ryzen 5 5600X.
