Intel Core i7-12700F
El Intel Core i7-12700F es un procesador de sobremesa de gama alta basado en la arquitectura Alder Lake. Se anunció por primera vez en noviembre de 2021 y ofrece 8 núcleos de rendimiento y 4 núcleos de eficiencia. Los núcleos de rendimiento (núcleos P) admiten HyperThreading, lo que da lugar a 20 hilos que pueden procesarse al mismo tiempo. Los núcleos de rendimiento pueden alcanzar una frecuencia de 4,9 GHz (Turbo Boost Max 3.0, base 2.1), los núcleos de eficiencia pueden alcanzar una frecuencia de 3,6 GHz (base 1,6 GHz). Todos los núcleos pueden utilizar 25 MB de caché inteligente. El controlador de memoria integrado admite hasta 128 GB de memoria DDR5 a 4800 MT/s (doble canal).
El Thread Director (en hardware) puede ayudar al sistema operativo a decidir qué hilo utilizar en los núcleos de rendimiento o eficiencia para obtener el mejor rendimiento.
Para las tareas de IA, el procesador también incorpora GNA 3.0 y DL Boost. La versión 8 de Quick Sync es idéntica a la de los procesadores Rocket Lake y admite descodificación MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1, JPEG, VP8, VP9, HEVC y AV1 en hardware.
Los modelos de sobremesa de la serie F no ofrecen tarjeta gráfica integrada.
El procesador tiene una potencia base de 65 vatios y una potencia turbo máxima de 180 vatios. Está fabricado con el proceso de 10 nm de Intel, conocido como Intel 7.
