AMD Radeon HD 7640G + HD 7670M Dual Graphics

Las tarjetas AMD Radeon HD 7640G + HD 7670M son la combinación de una tarjeta de video integrada en el procesador APU AMD Radeon HD 7640G y una AMD Radeon HD 7670M dedicada de gama básica en combinación CrossFire. Es llamada de AMD Dual Graphics o CrossFire asimétrico y usa AFR (Alternate Frame Rendering) para reproducir fotogramas diferentes en los dos núcleos gráficos. Por tanto, la combinación también sufre las micro intermitencias (diferentes espacios entre dos imágenes llevan a la intermitencia, aunque la velocidad de fotogramas sea suficientemente alta para un juego fluente con sólo un GPU).

El rendimiento de la solución Dual Graphics depende mucho del soporte del controlador para los juegos utilizados. En algunos juegos el rendimiento puede incluso degradarse en 10-15% comparado a cuando se usa sólo la tarjeta de video APU. Por lo tanto, debido a las micro intermitencias y problemas de rendimiento, la Dual Graphics puede traer más problemas que ganancias de rendimiento. Sólo en el mejor escenario posible el rendimiento es similar al de la GeForce GT 635M.

Los recursos como PureVideo HD (UVD3) o soporte para OpenCL son similares a los de las dos tarjetas de video.

Dado que ambas tarjetas de video están reproduciendo fotogramas, el consumo de energía es evidentemente superior que al usar apenas un GPU.
